--- Comment #17 from Richard Steven Hack <richardstevenh...@gmail.com> ---
So I turned off "Turn Off Screen" under energy settings. Tonight after I went
for a shower and other measures which took longer than 60 minutes, I came back
to find the lock screen blank, wiggling the cursor did nothing. I went into
virtual terminal 1 and messed around, then tried to go back to the original
terminal (F7) but couldn't do it.

Then I got this error message which I don't comprehend at all and don't know if
it has anything to do with the blank screen issue:

localhost login: [112762.275565] [T62483] amdgpu 0000:08:00: [drm:
amdgpu_ring_test_helper [amdgpu]] *ERROR ring comp_1.0.1 test failed (-110)
[112762.64478211] [T5552] PM: can not get swap writer

So enough fooling around, I rebooted. I doublechecked my settings for Session
Suspend and Screen Locking. Session Suspend does nothing and the screen is not
supposed to be turned off at all. The Screen Lock setting is 60 minutes and
that worked - except it's impossible to get back from the blank screen once the
mouse is wiggled. The cursor is visible but nothing else.

I still haven't tried another theme. For now I'm simply going to turn off
Screen Locking because I don't have time for this nonsense.
