OK - I can duplicate this now on Neon, but kind of the opposite of the original
reported issue. If I change the desktop change animation from slide to fade, I
can duplicate the problem (i.e. switch to a new workspace with windows already
open, and then when I minimize / maximize by using the task bar buttons, the
windows just appear and disappear with no animations). When I return to sing
'slide' the windows animate correctly.
Sounds like a reproducible bug to me so flagging this as confirmed hoping a dev
can take a look.
