I think it might be have to do with "time" My scenario was: (my main desktop KDE, Notebook other DE) I am working on my notebook connected to my display via HDMI, main PC via DP. Switching between both some times via display ports selection. I tried it to enforce the issue I have seen several times now by quick switch in between (nothing happened) But I faced the issue like 5 times in 2 days, but in general I dont switch that fast between the 2 environments.
