            Bug ID: 482608
Summary: Windows on external monitor are shifted up by a large
                    amount when closing laptop
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: kwin
           Version: 6.0.0
          Platform: Neon
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: multi-screen
          Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org
          Reporter: anon.imm...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
***
When using an external monitor with a laptop, closing the laptop moves the
windows on the external monitor up past the top of the visible screen. This
hides half the content, and the title bars, so moving the windows back to their
expected position is difficult. (it requires using the context menu in the
panel)
***

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Connect external monitor to laptop and configure layout
2. Use the machine for any length of time with the laptop open
3. Close the laptop

OBSERVED RESULT

The windows on the external monitor are moved up past the top of the screen,
hiding half their content and title bars.

EXPECTED RESULT

The windows do not move.
