Running glxgears, which should be vsync'd by default: $ glxgears Running synchronized to the vertical refresh. The framerate should be approximately the same as the monitor refresh rate. 17025 frames in 5.0 seconds = 3404.824 FPS 17232 frames in 5.0 seconds = 3446.307 FPS ... and so on.
