Since the problem was also reported by a user in the Pixls.us forum, there seems to be a problem with AVIF files on macOS. Can you provide the file. One more thing: you have activated monitoring for external changes in the collection settings. Do you really need digiKam to recognize changes to files at runtime that occur externally?
