Bug ID: 480988 Summary: When moving the mouse over widgets with hover effects (e.g. launcher menu items, system settings side bar) CPU usage is higher than 150% Classification: I don't know Product: kde Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: unassigned-b...@kde.org Reporter: feat...@engineer.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY *** NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug symbols. See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** When moving the mouse over widgets with hover effects (e.g. launcher menu items, system settings side bar) CPU usage is higher than 150% Interestingly - in Dolphin side bar, where there's also a hover effect (albeit different one) - this doesn't happen. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open system settings 2. Move mouse over the side bar (this also happens in many other places, e.g. effects election in settings and info center) OBSERVED RESULT CPU usage as reported in top shoots up to more than 150%. EXPECTED RESULT CPU usage shouldn't noticeably increase - as is the case with Dolphin's side bar.
