SUMMARY
xdg-open does not open any application.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Use xdg-open, e.g. `xdg-open document.pdf`
OBSERVED RESULT
It silently exits without opening the associated application (in this case
okular). Opening html files, images, videos, etc., results in the same
behavior.
The returned exit code is 0.
EXPECTED RESULT
The associated application (e.g. okular) should open.
