I too have a similar problem.
But in my case , pc doesn't need to go to sleep only need the monitor to turn
off for 5 minutes of unused time (that's what I've set it to).
After coming out of that, the same symptoms happen. Reproducible if waking up
monitor after a longer period of it being turned off.
