There are then also some concerns about the details, e.g., contrast issues if the highlighting colors are too close to the background colors (e.g., many KatePart syntax highlighting definitions use green and red text for some syntax), what to do if the highlighting definition specifies a background color (which it can do, e.g., several use red background for what they think are syntax errors), etc. But those can be sorted out if and when someone actually has the time to do the work.
