With 8.2.0 the behaviour of the various tabs in the right side bar with no
selected image is inconsistent. The Metadata tab allows you to switch between
EXIF, Makernote etc; The entire Colours and Captions tabs are greyed-out, the
Versions, Filters and Tools tabs are active, etc.
As no selection is made, I'd argue that most tabs should be greyed-out, or
better still should simply display text saying something like "select an image
to see its information".
The Properties tab could indeed be repurposed to show Album information when no
selection is made.
