            Bug ID: 479748
Summary: Confirming / rejecting faces using the image preview
(not the thumbnail) should advance to the next
unconfirmed face, not to the last confirmed one
    Classification: Applications
           Product: digikam
           Version: 8.3.0
          Platform: Appimage
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Faces-Workflow
          Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org
          Reporter: jens-bugs.kde....@spamfreemail.de
  Target Milestone: ---

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. In Faces, go to a face where there are suggestions detected by Digikam which
you can confirm/reject/ignore.
2. Instead of doing this inside the thumbnails view, double click the image (to
see the whole picture) and confirm/reject/ignore the face there.

OBSERVED RESULT
Digikam will confirm/reject/ignore the face, and then show the image with the
*last* (confirmed) face of that person. If there are a lot of faces for this
person, and you exit the preview by pressing ESC, the thumbnails list will have
scrolled all the way down. To view the next face suggestion thumbnail, the user
needs to scroll all the way up again.

EXPECTED RESULT
When confirming/rejecting/ignoring face suggestions in image preview, Digikam
should - IMHO - advance to the next unconfirmed suggestion, not the last
confirmed face. This makes the process of face tagging much more efficient.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS: KDE Neon 22.04, Digikam appimage 2024.01.07
