Indeed, that is a bug. I cannot reproduce it though. Perhaps its a result of a
combination of settings? I would need to know the steps to reproduce this and
also the settings for the General page of the settings dialog. The request for
PrintScreen to be assigned to rectangle capture instead of launching spectacle
according to the General page settings and the bug where pressing PrintScreen
does nothing need to be separate reports though.
Are "rectangle area" and "overview" the same to you or is "overview" something
different?
