            Bug ID: 478924
Summary: HDMI TV 144hz broken on Wayland, works fine on X11
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: kwin
           Version: 5.27.10
          Platform: Arch Linux
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: major
          Priority: NOR
         Component: wayland-generic
          Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org
          Reporter: kodatar...@yahoo.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
Plugging in TV through HDMI and setting 4K@144hz makes the screen have
snowfalls like old CRT with unusable desktop at all, this happens on both AMD
with Mesa and Nvidia with their proprietary 545.29.06

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. plugin a TV which supports 4K@144hz - set it to that and not 120hz, the
display would be garbled with snowfall like screen like old CRT without it
being usable
Operating System: EndeavourOS
KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.10
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.113.0
Qt Version: 5.15.11
Kernel Version: 6.6.8-x64v3-xanmod1 (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland
Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D 8-Core Processor
Memory: 31,3 GiB of RAM
Graphics Processor: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090/PCIe/SSE2

The AMD system on which I tested has the same OS, just specs are different AMD
APU(with Nvidia rtx 3060, but the AMD APU renders the desktop and everything)
with a Ryzen 7 6800H, both observed same result.
