            Bug ID: 478703
Summary: SD card not detected in Disks and Devices when
                    inserted
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: plasmashell
           Version: 5.27.9
          Platform: Manjaro
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Disks & Devices
          Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
          Reporter: php4...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: 1.0

SUMMARY
I have a laptop with an SD card reader.
It used to be the case that when I would insert an SD card in the slot, it
would be automatically detected. The "Disk and Devices" icon would become
visible directly in the tray area, and when I clicked on it, the SD card would
be shown and there would be a "mount and open" button.
This worked for months.

Starting recently, this doesn't work anymore. Nothing happens when I insert
the SD card.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Insert an SD card into the reader
2. Click on the "^" arrow in the tray area to unfold the hidden items, and
there, click on Disk & Devices

OBSERVED RESULT
Nothing happens at step 1.
At step 2, the SD card is not listed and I cannot mount it and open it

EXPECTED RESULT
For starters, after step 1 alone, the Disks and Devices icon should become
immediately visible in the tray area without unfolding the "^" menu.
Besides that, when you open Disks and Devices, the SD card should be listed
there, with a button that says "Mount and Open" (I don't remember if these were
the exact words).
