            Bug ID: 478611
Summary: Digikam crashes while entering name of facetag in
                    image preview.
    Classification: Applications
           Product: digikam
           Version: 8.2.0
          Platform: Microsoft Windows
                OS: Microsoft Windows
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: crash
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Faces-Workflow
          Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org
          Reporter: fleusc...@web.de
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
Digikam freezes and closes without any error report while entering name of
facetag in image preview.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Image from any album in Image Preview (F2 key)
2. Draw new facetag rectangle OR click on the name of an already existing
facetag
3. digikam selects textstring of current facetag ("unknown" for new rectangle
or the name of the current facetag)
4. by enetering first letter of new name for the face tag, digikam freezes and
closes after 4 seconds

OBSERVED RESULT
Program freezes for about 4 seconds and closes without any error report.
Some additional observations: Program feezes on keydown within the
facetag-textfield. Entered letter doesn't appear in the textfield (dropdownlist
too). "delete"-Key or "Backspace"-Key deletes the current selected textstring
without crash, but crashes then when entering first letter of new facetag. My
current workaround is to use the People-View. All new added face-tag-rectangles
appears in "Unknown"-People-Tag in the People-View-Tab. Here it's possible to
enter new names or select it from the drop-down-list which appears by entering
first letter of the new facetag-name.

EXPECTED RESULT
first letter of the new face tag will inserted and drop-down-list of available
facetags will appear
