It appears that this is a missing feature in Folder View. It simply lacks the
code to draw the link emblem, which Dolphin does do. The link emblem for the
preview is actually baked into the preview image, explaining why it appears
there.
If we do eventually add this feature to Folder View, we should probably make it
conditional on the link not being a desktop file, since otherwise all
desktop-file-based launchers that people put on their desktops will have the
link icon and it will look ugly and I pretty much guaranteed we'll get loads of
bug reports about it.
