From https://snapcraft.io/install/krita/ubuntu , the 'contact' is Krita.org, so I guess the Krita devs maintain it? I'll ask them on the IRC dev channel. I wish I could find an email of the person who made the Snap so I could report the issue and ask them to allow the package to get enough permission to save resources like gradients.
