            Bug ID: 370517
Summary: Ever since 5.8, kwin will crash upon switching to a
different workspace while in a full-screen game
           Product: kwin
           Version: 5.8.0
          Platform: Neon Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: major
          Priority: NOR
         Component: compositing
          Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org
          Reporter: nathan17...@gmail.com

I'll be in a game, doesn't matter what it is as long as it's fullscreen, and
then I'll switch to a different workspace. Immediately when switching, kwin
crashes. Titlebars disappear, several kwin hotkeys stop working, and I have to
run "kwin --replace" to fix it. This happens every single time when the "Allow
applications to block compositing" setting is enabled, and only sometimes when
it's not. This started when version 5.8 came in.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Enable "Allow applications to block compositing"
2. Launch a fullscreen game
3. While in the game, switch to another workspace

Actual Results:
kwin crashes

Expected Results:
keep working

If it matters, I'm using the proprietary Nvidia driver version 370.28.

Distro is KDE Neon (Ubuntu 16.04 base).
