That sounds like the file might be broken :-(. Is there a backup file still?
(Should end in a ~). You could also try one of the many zip repair tools out
there to see if it's repairable, or I can give it a try if you can share the
file with me (foundat...@krita.org). Please also be sure to update to 3.0.1.1,
since we added some extra precautions against data loss in that version.
