I can confirm this one, but i believe it is a regression. On my main system
i've changed the avatar with no issues more than once a while back, now i've
tried on a VM and the problem is there.
The newly selected avatar gets display on the lock and "leave" screen but not
sddm.
Avatars from the gallery work fine.
