Harald and I talked and he discovered that it is indeed a Fedora-specific
problem. Submitted https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2245693 for
that.
I can locally fix it with `sudo ln -s /usr/share/app-info/xmls/*
/var/lib/swcatalog/xml/`. Not a long-term solution, obviously. Distros need to
fix this. It may affect other distros too. All of them that still use a legacy
path that's dropped in AppStream 1.0, essentially.
