After I installed the freerdp2-wayland package (and uninstalled freerdp2-x11
but I don't know if that's required) it works for me in KRDC 23.08.2.
But that package is not in the Recommends list of the krdc package so it needed
some guessing. krdc should at least recommend freerdp2-wayland (or even just
depend on it).
Once it works KRDC shows the behaviour described in bug 475315.
