Bug ID: 475157 Summary: preceding frame is shown when rendering or not using proxy clips but is OK when using proxy clips Classification: Applications Product: kdenlive Version: 23.08.1 Platform: Microsoft Windows OS: Microsoft Windows Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Effects & Transitions Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org Reporter: richard.kidd1...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 162041 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=162041&action=edit frame rendering issue SUMMARY *** NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug symbols. See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Load the attached project 2. press play in the editor and watch how you catch a glimpse of a random frame that is the preceding frame to what I've selected to be shown from the clip. You won't see it again (at the moment) 3. right-click on the clip in the project bin and tick Proxy Clip. Wait for the proxy to be generated then press play. You will see it does not do it anymore. Now, I develop music videos with proxy enabled so I never see these issues at this stage. 4. Now render the video to mp4-h264/aac Generic HD 5. Watch the rendered video and you will see these frames pop in several times This issue has been around for years and I've not been able to isolate a clip for demonstration until now. I get these issues on almost every video that I render. I normally just spend an hour going through the rendered video and manually fixing up these errors in the video rendering. OBSERVED RESULT A stray preceding frame from the chosen clip is shown. EXPECTED RESULT I expect to see in the rendered video what I see in the editor using proxy clips when developing videos.
