            Bug ID: 475103
Summary: "Horizontal" and "vertical" - wrong usage of these
                    terms in Tiling Layout creator
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: plasmashell
           Version: 5.27.8
          Platform: unspecified
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: minor
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
          Reporter: holyzo...@trash-mail.com
                CC: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk
  Target Milestone: 1.0

Sorry, can't find a good category.
SUMMARY
***
The terms
"Horizontal" vs "vertical"
"Left-Right" vs "Top-Bottom"
are confused in the options of the Tiling Layout creator (to be accessed by
SUPER + T).
***

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. log into Plasma and hit SUPER + T
2. Take one of the fields and select: Split Vertically (why is it a capital V
btw?) and it splits the field horizontally, i. e. the "split" is then a
horizontal line.
3. Take one of the fields and select: Split Horizonatlly (why is it a capital H
btw?) and it splits the field vertically, i. e. the "split" is then a vertical
line.

OBSERVED RESULT
Vertical split is horizontal.
Horizontal split is vertical.

EXPECTED RESULT
Vertical split is vertical.
Horizontal split is horizontal.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Manjaro Linux (Stable). KDE Plasam
KDE Plasma Version: 5 27 8
KDE Frameworks Version: 5 110 0
Qt Version: 5 15 10

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
It's the same in Konsole with "Left-Right" vs "Top-Bottom". There might be
other apps as well?
