STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. update konsole
2. start konsole
3. watch totally f'up UI
As incredibly it sounds, accoding to
https://www.reddit.com/r/kde/comments/12wb9cc/latest_konsole_moved_the_tabs_to_the_top_how_to/
that corruption is intentional!
Apparently someone decided that their private prefernces have to be forced on
each and everybody without any respect to their decisions or settings -- to add
insult to injury their's neither an informtion popup nor di that someone ever
consider that not everybody uses that horrible hamburger menu!
Thus, people are stuck with a wilfully broken UI without easy means to fick
that f'up!
I am very afraid of this authoritarian and patronizing attitude proliferation
through all of the KDE ecosystem, and I fail to understand how that level of
ruthlessness and disrepect even is possible (although revent developments at
Mozilla seem to indicate that this is spreading) -- but if that somebody
seriously thinks it is OK to behave badly just because they think they know
better than everbody else, what everybody else ought to do, maybe they're
better of at Apple's!
Please, fix this ASAP and refrain in future from breaking established
standards, and what's more, users' configurations just because some isolated
people don't like how others enjoy freedom.
OBSERVED RESULT
konsole UI broken and w/o research close to unusable
EXPECTED RESULT
UI stays as before, no changes of established and configured UI and
functionality w/o prior information and a clear way to fix/change back
