To reiterate I'm *not* using Wayland, and that bug seems to be about Wayland.
Please consider this bug focused on X11.
I do have window previews enabled, but I haven't seen this bug for quite a
while (currently, I'm on Kubuntu 22.04). I'm not sure how to trigger this bug
at this point.
