STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Start Kmail (it is set to receive mail on startup)
2. It shows the number of unread messages in my "inbox.)
3.
OBSERVED RESULT: It shows the number of new, unread messages in my "inbox." But
the actual messages do not show up until much later
EXPECTED RESULT: The number of unread messages in the "inbox" and the actual
number of unread messages in the inbox are not the same. It's very slow to
download messages.

As a backup, I use Mozilla Thunderbird. It downloads all messages immediately
