In a multi-panel session, I press ctrl-f to perform a search. It finds the
first occurrence, but I notice the Directory panel is now highlighting a
different file (in other panel). I press F3 to find the next occurrence, and
the other panel uses its previous search to highlight the next thing found. I
then have to click in my original panel where I intended to search. Now when I
press F3, it does find the next occurrence, repeatedly. The problem seems
exasperated when I have searches open in multiple panels (I just don't bother
hitting ESC to exit the search, so the bottom continues to show the search
criteria when that panel is active).

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Split screen horizontally, then split screen vertically. For me, the two
horizontally split panes on are the left.
2. Open a separate file in each panel. For me, I already have several hundred
files open; each panel is displaying a different file.
3. Perform a search in each panel.
4. After editing for awhile, perform a new search by pressing ctrl-f. After
typing the text and hitting enter, the active panel changes to one of the other
ones. So, pressing F3 is not handled by the panel I just hit ctrl-F.

OBSERVED RESULT
The active panel changes, but it shouldn't. I'm trying to searching within one
active panel.

EXPECTED RESULT
I expect the F3 to be handled by the same active panel where I started the
Ctrl-F.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows: 10

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I love using multiple panels, but it's driving me nuts to constantly click in
the same window to keep it active.
