            Bug ID: 472526
Summary: When copying files in Dolphin the "time remaining"
estimate jumps all over the place
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: plasmashell
           Version: 5.27.5
          Platform: Debian testing
                OS: Other
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: System Tray
          Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
          Reporter: loca...@tutanota.com
                CC: mate...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: 1.0

SUMMARY
When copying files in Dolphin the "time remaining" estimate (shown in the
system tray) jumps all over the place every second, for example, time
remaining: 2 hours... 50 minutes... 1 hour 15 mins... 40 minutes... and so on,
which makes the remaining time estimate pretty meaningless. Dolphin shouldn't
use the current 1-second copying speed to calculate the time remaining but
instead should use the average copying speed across completed files. For
example, let's say the user is trying to copy 100 files and it took 5 minutes
to copy 10 files, then time remaining should be 45 minutes for the rest 90
files.
