Bug ID: 472195 Summary: [Bad UX] Showing "Loading..." with no information what is going on for longer than a minute isn't really good UI behavior, especially for any download no matter how small Classification: Applications Product: Discover Version: 5.26.1 Platform: Other OS: FreeBSD Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: discover Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: e...@horse64.org CC: aleix...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY *** Showing "Loading..." with no information what is going on for longer than a minute isn't really acceptable UI behavior in a modern application I would argue, especially for any download no matter how small. I assume it's stuck at a download, but alas, zero information because the UI isn't giving me anything useful so I don't know. *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Not sure 2. Gets stuck at "Loading..." OBSERVED RESULT "Loading..." forever EXPECTED RESULT Either it gets on with it and it's brief, or the loading screen actually says what it's busy with. For a download, it should really show progress even if it's supposedly tiny. (Not that I know if it's really stuck at a download, it doesn't say.)
