Never mind, I went to `libimobiledevice.org` and checked if there are more
packages necessary to be installed and I found that I had installed all but
`usbmuxd`.
Thus after having installed
* imobiledevice-tools
* libimobiledevice
* libimobiledevice-glue
* libplist
* ifuse
* usbmuxd
the iPad was sucessfully recognized and now shows up as storage device in
Dolphin.
Ilya can you please confirm again that you have all required packages
installed?
