I checked again and found the following with [1]: 1) When moving any app to another virtual desktop, their content is no longer regularly updated in the heap effects, just like Basti described. 2) When adding a window (Chromium, Firefox, Konsole or likely any other) as a source to OBS Studio, its content will always be updated in the heap effects, no matter on which virtual desktop it's moved. 3) When maximizing a floating window, which was added as source to OBS Studio, bug #469854 is triggered and also the content freezes in the heap effects, when moving the windows to a different virtual desktop.
