Bug ID: 470967 Summary: Chinese and Japanese languages Classification: Plasma Product: krunner Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: popov...@ukr.net CC: alexander.loh...@gmx.de, natalie_clar...@yahoo.de Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Just looked at servicerunner.cpp and found that in some places there is a check for the length of the search query (https://invent.kde.org/plasma/plasma-workspace/-/blob/v5.27.5/runners/services/servicerunner.cpp#L215, https://invent.kde.org/plasma/plasma-workspace/-/blob/v5.27.5/runners/services/servicerunner.cpp#L250, https://invent.kde.org/plasma/plasma-workspace/-/blob/v5.27.5/runners/services/servicerunner.cpp#L331). This may be wrong for Chinese and Japanese (and other similar languages), where one character can mean a whole word. I'm not entirely sure about this, so it would be better to clarify this with native speakers of those languages.
