You didn't read my text in the other bug report. You have activated the "Atlas"
map, it cannot be zoomed in any larger. Switch to the OpenStreetMap map.

The changes for digiKam-8.1.0 would only affect "new" users. You now have to
manually switch to the OpenStreetMap map.
