            Bug ID: 470186
           Summary: Marble Bad satellite imagery
    Classification: Applications
           Product: marble
           Version: 23.04.1
          Platform: Archlinux
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: marble-b...@kde.org
          Reporter: omg.qk...@aleeas.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
Marble's preloaded NASA satellite imagery is not high quality and cannot be
used to look at any precise details. Sentinel images allow you to get closer,
but are still not detailed and do not seem to work for most of the world. I
went to Marble's website to review documentation on adding new maps, and found
it to be next to nonexistent. I found this page
https://marble.kde.org/maps-4.5.php and tried to download the MapQuest
satellite images in hopes of better quality, but all download links result in
404 errors. There are no instructions on how to utilize satellite images from
another source besides those you provide. How can usable satellite data be
loaded?

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Run Marble
2. Open any pre-provided satellite view
3. Zoom in to try and look at buildings, roads, etc.

OBSERVED RESULT
Blurry images and restricted zoom

EXPECTED RESULT
Clear images and full zoom

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.106.0
Qt Version: 5.15.9
