Bug ID: 469290 Summary: There should be a way to see from a glance if a file is executable Classification: Applications Product: dolphin Version: unspecified Platform: unspecified OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: view-engine: icons mode Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: geqch0...@mozmail.com CC: kfm-de...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 158640 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=158640&action=edit demp SUMMARY If you were to have a file named "doc․pdf" you would think that this is a PDF file right? Well the "․" is U+2024 not ".". This allows for an executable to be hidden as a PDF or something else now in order for this to work the file needs to marked as executable which in this case is unexpected so what I propose is a contrasting tint on all executables by default.
