Ok, so one of two things happened: either plasmashell crashed and didn't
re-spawn, or else plasmashell is still running but it lost your desktop
containment.
When this happens, what does `ps -ef | grep -i plasmashell` in a terminal
window say? If you don't already have a terminal window open, you can launch
Konsole by summoning KRunner with Alt+Space.
