SUMMARY
As noted in https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=227566, digiKam does not have
support for SMB shares, which was resolved by instructing users to explicitly
mount the folder natively. However, this recommendation is in direct conflict
with the resolution of https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=464705 that one
should avoid using fstab and instead delegate network related file access to
KIO-fuse.
