I can't reproduce this on version 1.24.0, so I'm assuming the problem was fixed
recently. Does using this version of the KDE Connect client also cause the
behavior?
There is a commit that appears to fix SMS syncing for version 1.24.1, although
I'm not sure if it's related to this problem or not.
