I have been using "Windows can cover" since this issue cropped up, and it is immediately reproduced the moment I switch back to "Auto-Hide". Then switching to "Windows can cover" again, that mode works as expected. While in "Auto-Hide" mode, the observed behavior is still present when using a single monitor. No matter which of the two monitors I unplug, the issue persists on the remaining monitor.
