I cannot reproduce the problem with the camera using a sample image from the
web. Both uploaded as original RAW and resized as JPG, the date and camera
information is correct.
We only transfer a possible image title to the upload, all other metadata is
retrieved by Google itself from the image. Therefore, the problem will not be
digiKam.
Please provide a sample image showing the problem, if not public to my email.
