SUMMARY
Showscreen and wshowkeys are two applications to display the current typed
characters as an overlay on the screen, which is useful if you want to
demonstrate something which involves inputs to someone else e.g. via a video.
Unfortunately showscreen only runs under X and wshowkeys is no longer actively
maintained or developed. It'd nice if there were a native effect in kwin which
gives the same functions without relying on external applications.
