I can successfully reproduce your issue on Spectacle version 22.12.3. Clicking
copy to clipboard again after it was cleared also produces what looks to be a
broken image entry. I also noticed that copying any image to the clipboard at
all (automatic or manual) results in a broken image. The issue was also
reproducible on a blank installation.
I suspect there was a change made recently that unintentionally broke this
feature.
