Bug ID: 467478 Summary: Mouse cursor doesn't respect system UI scaling factor Classification: Applications Product: kdenlive Version: 22.12.3 Platform: Mint (Ubuntu based) OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: User Interface Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org Reporter: keenly7...@reprom.io Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 157354 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=157354&action=edit System cursor with correct size VS Kdenlive custom cursor with wrong size SUMMARY The mouse cursor is very small, it is not respecting my system interface scale setting. It seems to be different than what I have configured, I don't have a problem with that but it would be nice if it could at least read the scaling information (my screen is set to 4K) and resize it so it would be displayed correctly. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Install Linux Mint and set a high resolution (like 4K) 2. Configure UI scaling so elements are big enough to compensate the high resolution 3. Launch Kdenlive 4. Move the mouse around, the application uses a different cursor than the one picked in the system settings OBSERVED RESULT The custom cursor that Kdenlive uses is not respecting the system's UI scaling factor, so its size is very small. EXPECTED RESULT The custom cursor read the system UI scaling and applies its factor to be the same size as the system cursor.
