I use the Android app Aves (https://github.com/deckerst/aves) as my gallery,
synced via syncthing to my pc. Aves can tag videos and stores the tags as shown
in attachment 1. The problem is that these tags don't show up as captions in
digiKam. I even tried adding the Xmp.dc.subject namespace for captions under
"Configure digiKam → Metadata → Advanced", but that didn't work (detailed
settings in attachment 2)
