I can sort of reproduce the bug. In step 2 for me, KScreen sets an automatic
display scale of 250% and the wallpaper is indeed zoomed in rather than scaled.
When I manually change the scale to something else, Plasma figures it out and
then displays the wallpaper correctly. If I go back to the original
auto-generated 250% scale factor, it also still works.
Can you reproduce this? Or are you unable to get the wallpaper to display
correctly at any scale other than 100%?
