Everything was working and somewhere I along the way I was trying to switch back to nouveau drivers it didnt boot because I didnt realize nvidia driver installed blacklisting. either way I reverted back to the nvidia and for somereason now had mirroring happening and took me a minute to realize the monitors where stacked on top of each other in the Settings -> Display and Monitor settings window and I dragged the monitor off the other one and made them side by side and when I did that's when the black monitor happened.
