One of the huge draws of using KDE over other DEs is the deep customization in
System Settings - but the new tiling manager is missing from that menu in a
dedicated way. It would be nice to be able to do the following in the menu
- Add tiling layouts via the Settings menu
- Associate layouts with activities/virtual desktops
- Adjust padding on top and between windows independently
- Adjust keyboard shortcuts associated with tiles (i.e. being able to use
keyboard shortcuts to assign windows to tiles instead of Shift + Drag windows)
- Selecting the default layout and adjusting the default layouts shipped with
KWin
