Bug ID: 465929 Summary: Sometimes need to double- or triple-click windows to raise them Classification: Plasma Product: plasmashell Version: 5.27.0 Platform: Archlinux OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: major Priority: NOR Component: Task Manager and Icons-Only Task Manager Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: kdeb...@korte.land Target Milestone: 1.0 Created attachment 156371 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=156371&action=edit Task manager settings SUMMARY This is new with 5.27. In the task manager, having multiple applications open sometimes results in one or more of those applications needing to be double- or triple-clicked to be raised. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Have a panel with the task manager. Open multiple windows from different applications (firefox, terminal, gimp, etc). 2. Try using the task manager to change between these applications. Sometimes, one or more of these windows will end up needing to be double- or triple-clicked to raise the window. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux: 6.1.12-arch1-1 KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.0 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.103.0 Qt Version: 5.15.8 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This is a weird bug. I use wayland with multiple monitors, and the open-source AMD driver included with Linux. Dolphin seems more likely to be affected, but I've seen it with Konsole as well. The affected window is "sticky", that is, once it has the problem, it stays with that window, until I move it to another desktop. When I do this, another window picks up this behaviour. See the screenshot for my task manager settings. Note that this panel/task manager is on a non-primary monitor, but I've seen it on the task manager for my primary monitor, too. I took the liberty of marking the severity as major, since it's a pretty big usability issue - it's not rare, at least for me. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
